You may be aware that the Ethics Clearance Certificate is required in submission of research articles to most journals in Thailand. The certificate is also a requirement document when you apply for the Academic Professorship ranks. The Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) of Stamford international University is established to act on behalf of the University to ensure that all research conducted by faculty members and students at the University meets and maintains the highest ethical research standards and in doing so to protect the interests of all parties – research participants, research investigators, and the University. The Human Research Ethics Committee will oversee and work closely our committee members both internal and external, as well as faculty and students involved the research projects that are relevant to human subjects, to ensure that all the research work associated with the students’ thesis/ dissertation, research papers, or the lecturers’ research project involving human subjects are compliant with International Standards of Human Research Ethics protocols. The HREC is responsible for providing services related to ethical matters and human subjects in the research projects, and for coordinating with applicants in the certification process for their research projects.
